Legenda se vrací

Je tomu již čtrnáct let, co se jméno Camry naposledy objevilo v evropských showroomech. Nyní se vrací rozdat si to s velkými hráči a přijímá první objednávky.

Toyota Camry se představila na letošním pařížském autosalonu. Showroomy po celé Evropě ale obsadí až na jaře příštího roku. Vyrábí se od roku 1982 a celosvětově jde o nejprodávanější vůz střední a vyšší střední třídy na světě, s počtem přesahujícím 17 milionů kusů. Její nová generace stojí na globální platformě TNGA, díky které má kromě bezpečnosti a dostatku prostoru zajistit i příjemné dynamické svezení. 

Předprodej je zahájen na u nás nejsilnější motorizaci. Hybridní zážehový čtyřválec o objemu 2.5 litru disponuje výkonem 160 kW (212 koní), z toho 60 kW připadá na elektromotor. Základní verze vyjde na 920 000 Kč, lepší výbava Prestige na 950 000 Kč a nejvyšší verze Executive je za 1 050 000 Kč (vše včetně DPH). Hybridní jednotka slibuje kombinovanou spotřebu 4,2 litru na 100 km.

Kromě hybridního motoru je Camry k mání i s 3,5litrovým šestiválcem a automatickou převodovkou e-CVT. Na výkon 224 kW (300 koní) si ale Evropan musí nechat zajít chuť, tato motorizace je určena pouze pro USA. Na vyšlápnutí si na zdejší zavedené modely, jakými jsou Škoda Superb nebo Opel Insignia, však hybridní jednotka bohatě vystačí.

Výroba začne v únoru příštího roku. První zákazníci se na své vozy mohou těšit o dva měsíce později.
