V Kennedyho vesmírném středisku překonal rychlost 400 km/h

McLaren Automotive předvedl Speedtail, své první Hyper-GT poskytující mimořádné zážitky z jízdy. Přináší unikátní směsici řemeslného zpracování, materiálových inovací a zakázkové personalizace.

McLaren Speedtail

Prototyp McLaren Speedtail, řízený hlavním testovacím jezdcem společnosti, vítězem Indy 500 Kennym Bräckem, v Kennedyho vesmírném středisku na Floridě na přistávací dráze raketoplánu v Johnny Bohmer Proving Grounds v rámci vysokorychlostního testovacího programu opakovaně dosáhl maximální rychlosti 403 km/h.

Výroba 106 kusů Speedtailů ve výrobním centru McLarenu ve Wokingu ve Velké Británii už začala. První dodávky jsou naplánovány na únor 2020 za cenu od 1,75 milionu liber (52 milionů korun) plus daně, ovšem všechny vozy už byly zarezervovány.

„Speedtail je opravdu výjimečné auto, které ztělesňuje průkopnického ducha McLarenu a dokonale ilustruje naše odhodlání pokračovat ve stanovování nových standardů výkonnosti supersportů a hypercarů,“ říká generální ředitel McLaren Automotive Mike Flewitt.

McLaren Speedtail

Pohon Speedtailu zajišťuje hybridní jednotka kombinující zážehový motor s elektromotorem. Dosahuje kombinovaného výkonu 775 kW (1055 k) a točivého momentu 1150 N.m. Podle McLarenu má akumulátorový systém Speedtailu nejlepší poměr výkonu a hmotnosti v celém automobilovém průmyslu, zatímco auto samotné, dlouhé 5137 mm, je aerodynamicky dosud nejefektivnějším produktem.

McLaren Speedtail je postaven na karbonové struktuře McLaren Monocage a těží z lehké konstrukce, zahrnující karoserii z uhlíkových vláken, aktivní pérování se závěsy z hliníku a uhlíkové keramické brzdy.

McLaren Speedtail

Pokud jde o další pozoruhodnosti, nemůžeme zapomenout na třímístné uspořádání kabiny s řidičem v centrální pozici v monokoku jako v legendárním McLarenu F1.

Vůz o hmotnosti 1430 kg potřebuje 12,8 sekundy k dosažení rychlosti 300 km/h. Pro dosažení rychlosti přes 400 km/h McLaren spolupracoval s Pirelli na vývoji speciálních pneumatik P-Zero na kovaných jednadvacetipalcových kolech.

Tento dosud nejvýkonnější McLaren je prvním z 18 nových aut nebo derivátů, které společnost McLaren představí v rámci svého obchodního plánu Track25.
