Uvnitř je nejen karbon, ale i zlato

Bentley při příležitosti oslavy svých 100. narozenin představuje již třetí limitovanou edici. Doposud byly prezentovány modely Mulsanne W.O. a Continental GT Number 9.

Aktuálně přijíždí otevřený Continental GTC Number 1 Edition. Už podle názvu si lze odvodit, že odkazuje na starý závodní vůz No. I Bentley Blower, který v roce 1932 stanovil rychlostní rekord 220,5 km/h.

Pod kapotou najdeme mohutný motor W12 o objemu šesti litrů, který je doplněný o dvě turbodmychadla. Dohromady to dává 635 koní výkonu při 6000 otáčkách a 900 Nm točivého momentu při 1350-4500 otáčkách. S motorem spolupracují osmistupňová automatická převodovka a pohon všech kol. Tento velikán o hmotnosti 2414 kilogramů se rozjede z 0 na 100 km/h za 3,8 sekundy a zastaví se až při 333 km/h. 

Mezi hlavní poznávací prvky patří zkombinované pakety Centenary, Black Line a Carbon Body Kit, laky Dragon Red II a Beluga, látková střecha v odstínech Claret a Beluga a dvaadvacetipalcová kola. Dalšími zajímavými detaily jsou třeba mřížka chladiče s číslem 1 nebo plakety na předních blatnících, které jsou vyrobené z pravého osmnáctikarátového zlata. Z téhož vzácného materiálu jsou zhotoveny i ovladače výdechů klimatizace.

Dekor středového panelu je ze strojně opracovaného hliníku, který odkazuje na bojová letadla z 20. a 30. let. Na nich se používal kvůli eliminaci odlesků.

Velký displej má po otočení o 180 stupňů na své zadní straně trojici budíků. Na tom prostředním lze vidět zmenšenou centrální matici z modelu Number 1. Ta byla odlita z kusu pístu, který patřil k 90 let starému motoru původního Bentley Blower.

Celkem vznikne pouze 100 kusů s doposud neznámou cenou.
