Překvapivě tu není nic rodinného

Že si automobilový novinář začne rozdávat vlastní ceny, zní možná trochu egoisticky a nabubřele, ale pokud jste v kůži nejslavnějšího britského moderátora o autech, není se čemu divit. Lidé jako Jeremy Clarkson dostávají denně desítky dopisů a e-mailů s dotazem, jaké je nejlepší auto roku. Proto se rozhodl vyřešit to vlastní cenou. Po vyhlášení nejlepšího auta roku Lamborghini Huracán Performante doplnil ještě další čtyři vozy, aby měl dohromady žebříček Top 5.

Jeremy otestoval v loňském roce 28 aut pro britský magazín Sunday Times. Kromě již zmíněného Lamborghini si cenu odneslo také Porsche 911 GT2 RS, vrchol produkce automobilky Porsche. Clarkson je známý tím, že nikdy nebyl velkým fanouškem této automobilky, ale jak on sám řekl: „GT2 RS je opravdu brilantní sportovní vůz. A to říká muž, který nikdy nebyl fanouškem Porsche.“

Další vozem je Alpina B5, oficiálně upravená řada 5 od BMW. Jeremy o ní řekl, že je tak skvělá, jak by mělo auto být. A není se čemu divit, s výkonem 608 koní a stovkou za 3,6 sekundy musí ohromit každého. Moderátor také dodal, že jde o nejlepší BMW řady 5, jaké kdy řídil.

Čtvrtým vyvoleným je Aston Martin Vantage. Jako velký fanoušek této značky si nový model samozřejmě nemohl nechat ujít a podle něj jde o nejlepší automobil, který se v této továrně momentálně vyrábí. „Pokud jde o čiré vzrušení, je na tom Aston Martin Vantage stejně, jako Porsche 911,“ svěřil se.

Posledním vozem, který Jeremy ocenil, je nové Bentley Continental GT. Na začátku jeho produkce v prvních letech tisíciletí se vůz moderátorovi vůbec nelíbil a označil jej jako auto pro fotbalisty. Nyní si jej ale natolik oblíbil, že kdyby mu někdo dal na výběr mezi ním a Astonem Martinem DB11, nemohl by se rozhodnout.
