Omezuje produkci skleníkových plynů i CO2

Firma Nokian Tyres byla již počtvrté za sebou zařazena do Dow Jonesova světového indexu udržitelnosti DJSI. Současně se objevila i v jeho přísněji definované evropské podobě.

Získala plných 100 bodů v kategoriích Řízení jakosti produktů a jejich stažení z oběhu, Environmentální reporting, Environmentální politika, Reporting managementu a Sociální reporting. 

Ke zlepšení životního prostředí může přispět i snížený valivý odpor pneumatik

„Jsme hrdí na to, že můžeme prokázat naše vedoucí postavení v této oblasti. V květnu 2020 se jsme se stali prvním výrobcem pneumatik, jemuž iniciativa Science Based Targets schválila jeho cíle ohledně snižování emisí skleníkových plynů. Celý náš tým na jejich dosažení tvrdě pracuje,“ uvedl Jukka Moisio, prezident a generální ředitel Nokian Tyres.

Za posledních šest let omezily továrny Nokian Tyres emise CO2 o 44 %. Valivý odpor pneumatik této značky klesl v průměru o 8 %, což odpovídá množství výfukových splodin, které by jinak za rok vypustilo do ovzduší 65 000 vozidel.
