Koncepce, která slaví u značky premiéru

Současná sedmá generace legendárního sportovního vozu Chevrolet Corvette pomalu, ale jistě končí. Minulý týden ohlásila automobilka i finální edici současné generace pro Evropu, která zahrnuje některé závodní komponenty a karbonové doplňky. Nová Corvette však již klepe na dveře a představit by se měla ještě letos. Největší novinkou však je, že bude vůbec poprvé v historii k mání i s motorem uprostřed.

A právě to je ta největší otázka. Jak bude takový vůz vypadat? Zatímco testovací muly se prohánějí po okruzích za krásného řevu z výfuků, nezávislí designéři mají plné ruce práce s vizualizací, jak bude výsledný produkt vypadat. Studie, kterou si dnes ukážeme, pochází z fanouškovského fóra MidEnginedCorvetteForum.com, které se zabývá právě tímto vozem a loví veškeré detaily. Nutno podotknout, že tento render je ze všech prozatím nejlepší.

 

 

Na oficiální odhalení vozu si ale ještě budeme muset pár týdnů, a možná i měsíců, počkat. Původně se totiž počítalo s premiérou na autosalonu v Detroitu, který však již skončil. Automobilka zatím mlčí a kolem nové Corvette je podezřelé ticho. Nejpravděpodobnější je momentálně autosalon v New Yorku, který své brány otevírá 19. dubna. Automobilka dokonce zatím nezveřejnila žádná technická data. Hřmotný osmiválec s osmistupňovou automatickou převodovkou je ale samozřejmostí. Chevrolet se ale také nechal slyšet, že příští generace tohoto vozu již nenabídne manuální převodovku, což bude poprvé ve více jak padesátileté historii.
