Dojmy z víkendu formule E na letišti Tempelhof.

Po celý víkend byl Berlín hlavním městem elektrické mobility. Letiště Tempelhof hostilo formuli E a její doprovodný program, tedy závod Jaguar I-Pace eTrophy.

Vítězný vůz týmu Audi Sport Abt Schaeffler

Od založení šampionátu formule E tato závodní série elektromobilů pravidelně směřuje i do Berlína. Závod se zde koná v areálu bývalého letiště Tempelhof, které bylo v roce 2008 uzavřeno. V roce 2015 byl Tempelhof přeměněn na uprchlický tábor, takže se ePrix jednou v Berlíně konala na náměstí Alexanderplatz.

Od příští sezony do formule E vstoupí i Poirsche

Tempelhof kdysi byl jedním ze tří nejvýznamnějších letišť v Evropě. V letech 1948 až 1949 sloužil jako cílový bod leteckého mostu zajišťujícího zásobování 2,5 milionu občanů západního Berlína. Dnes se po celý víkend se závodem monopostů s elektromotory a akumulátory snaží být mostem spojujícím politiky s výrobci automobilů.

Auta a jejich závody jsou záležitostí emocí. Ty zde jsou ve formuli E limitovány chybějícím řevem motorů, ale ten vyvažují dramatické bitvy o vítězství na trati. Také  proto formule E získává rok od roku na popularitě.

Vloni triumfoval tým Techeetah patřící společnosti SECA, letos jezdí jeho jezdci Andre Lotterer a Jean Eric Vergne v barvách DS Automobiles

Formule E se i ve svém pátém ročníku zastavila v Berlíně. Ve hře zde jsou velcí hráči jako Audi, BMW, Nissan, Jaguar, Mercedes a DS Automobiles. DS je dobré v závodech, ale ne v kvalifikaci, takže v Berlíně nakonec vyhrál Lucas di Grassi pro tým Audi Sport Abt Schaeffler.

Jürgen Vogel je příznivcem Jaguaru

Prominentními hosty byli v Berlíně např. bývalý mistr světa formule 1 Nico Rosberg, legendární závodník Hans-Joachim Stuck, fotbalový rekordman Lothar Matthäus nebo německý herec, producent a zpěvák v jedné osobě Jürgen Vogel. Nico Rosberg spolu s dalším bývalým pilotem F1 Nicem Heidfeldem zde navíc v německé premiéře odhalili speciální podobu nejvýkonnějšího italského hypersportu Pininfarina Battista - samozřejmě s elektrickým pohonem.

Šampionát formule E pokračuje 22. června 2019 v Bernu a pak vše vyvrcholí 13. a 14. července ve velkém finále sezóny se dvěma závody v New Yorku.
