Americká firma expanduje i na evropský trh

Společnost Vanderhall Motor Works sídlící v utažském městě Provo založil v roce 2010 nadšený motorkář Steve Hall, přičemž se specializuje na malosériovou výrobu tříkolek. Po více než osmi letech od svého vzniku má sice v nabídce stále jenom čtyři modely, nicméně to jí navzdory nesporné exkluzivitě nebrání rozšířit pole své působnosti z amerického trhu i do Evropy. 

Doslova na koleně (čistá ruční práce) vznikají nádherné modely s označením Venice, Edison a Carmel, u kterých Hall vedle retro designu využívá i několik moderních patentovaných konstrukčních řešení. Více méně se jedná o stejné provedení tříkolky, nicméně rozdíly se najdou ve výbavě i pohonu. Roadster mimo jiné nabídne i nasazovací plastovou střechu, zatímco ve speedsteru má řidič stále jen nebe nad hlavou. 

Pro příští rok již společnost avizuje další tři provedení, konkrétně Venice R a Speedster R, jakož i elektrický Edison4. Ceny základních nabízených verzí se pohybují v přepočtu od 600.000 do 900.000 Kč.

Vanderhall Motor Works se Evropanům poprvé prezentoval na lednovém 97. autosalonu v Bruselu (přes 425.000 návštěvníků), skutečný zájem o tuto americkou značku se ale očekává až v březnu v Ženevě. Teprve tam totiž tříkolové výrobky Stevea Halla uvidí obrazně řečeno celý svět. Ženevský autosalon se může těšit na základní dvoumístný model Venice, stejně jako na jeho limitovanou jednosedadlovou edici Speedster, které se plánuje vyrobit pouze 250 exemplářů. A prvotní ohlasy z Bruselu naznačují, že by s prodejem v Evropě nemusel být až takový problém – první zákazníci již podepsali smlouvy.

Pohon předních kol zajišťuje turbodmychadlem přeplňovaná zážehová čtrnáctistovka z produkce General Motors s úctyhodným výkonem 136 kW. Ta díky spojení s šestistupňovou sekvenční automatickou převodovkou a lehké kompozitní karoserii dokáže tříkolku s pohotovostní hmotností pouhých 624 kg rozjet na stovku za méně než 4,5 s, maximální rychlost činí 225 km/h. Všechna provedení se budou nabízet v oficiální evropské síti a budou mít plnou tuzemskou homologaci pro provoz na našich silnicích. Jak početná bude, ještě nevíme (zatím má osm lokací), nicméně pro představu: v USA využívá Vanderhall Motor Works přes padesát dealerství.
