Nejvyšší třída nepojede ani na Esteringu

Vrcholné kategorii RX1e byl ve světovém rallyekrosovém šampionátu zrušen už třetí po sobě jdoucí podnik. Po Lydden Hillu a Mettet se nepojede ani na německém Esteringu. Vyšetřování požáru z britského závodního víkendu, při kterém shořely oba vozy Lancia Delta stáje Special One Racing, totiž stále není u konce.

„Vyšetřování příčiny požáru, který vypukl během podniku v Lydden Hillu 21. července, stále probíhá. Posbírali jsme řadu dat a informací, které nyní analyzujeme. Aby mohlo vyšetřování pokračovat bez průtahů, rozhodla se FIA z bezpečnostních důvodů odložit podnik RX1e na německém Esteringu,“ odůvodnili pořadatelé své rozhodnutí.

V britském Lydden Hillu došlo k požáru v pátek, tedy den před začátkem víkendu. Propukl v 8:43 hodin ráno na voze Sébastiena Loeba. Ten se v tu chvíli nabíjel a jako první začala hořet baterie. Poté chytl i vůz Loebova týmového kolegy Guerlaina Chicherita. Při požáru shořela nejen obě auta, ale také týmový kamion. Pro stáj Special One Racing tímto letošní sezona logicky skončila. Ačkoli vyšetřování stále probíhá, pochybení týmu už bylo vyloučeno.

I když v Lydden Hillu ani v Mettet rallyekrosová elita nejela, doprovodné kategorie startovaly podle plánu. Na Esteringu tomu bude o víkendu stejně. Pojede jak třída RX2e, tak kategorie mistrovství Evropy RX1 a RX3. Pro všechna tato hodnocení půjde o poslední podnik sezony. V RX2e navíc i tentokrát uvidíme jednorázově účastníky nejvyšší třídy. Tentokrát nastoupí Niclas Grönholm a Klara Anderssonová ze stáje CE Dealer Team. V Mettet již startovali Johan Kristoffersson, Ole Christian Veiby a Timmy a Kevin Hansenové. Kristofferssonovi se dokonce podařilo zvítězit.


Už jen dva podniky


Zrušení podniku na Esteringu znamená, že třída RX1e letos absolvuje nejspíše už jen dva závodní víkendy. Zatímco první se uskuteční o víkendu 7.-8. října v jihoafrickém Kapském Městě, od 11. do 12. listopadu se bude závodit v Hong Kongu. Součástí obou těchto podniků budou hned dva závody.

Po prvních třech podnicích je na tom jednoznačně nejlépe Johan Kristoffersson. Švéd letos zatím nepoznal porážku a kráčí tak za svým šestým titulem mistra světa. Před Niclasem Grönholmem vede s náskokem 27 bodů.
