Trojzubec už nebude mít jednotky z Maranella

Málokdo ví, že vozy Maserati už dlouhá léta používají benzinové motory od Ferrari. Jde takřka o všechny modely z moderní doby. Aktuálně jsou v nabídce přeplňované osmiválce i šestiválce, ale nejznámější byl atmosférický osmiválec, který s objemem 4,7 litru už najdeme jen v kousku se jménem GranTurismo.

Nicméně každá pohádka jednou končí, což platí i o této spolupráci. Ferrari minulé úterý 7. května uspořádalo tiskovou konferenci, na které se prezentovaly výsledky za první čtvrtletí tohoto roku. Generální ředitel Louis Camilleri také oznámil pár novinek, mezi nimiž je jedna špatná – Maranello už nebude dodávat motory sesterské automobilce Maserati.

 

Odbyt nových Maserati s benzinovým motorem klesl o 23,4 %, přičemž o stejné procento prodaných motorů logicky přišlo i samotné Ferrari. Tento propad znamená značnou ztrátu ve výši 19 milionů eur. Vedení Maserati se tak rozhodlo, že už neobnoví smlouvu na dodávky zážehových jednotek od Ferrari.

 

Kontrakt skončí na přelomu let 2021 a 2022. Co bude dál? To nikdo neví, Maserati naštěstí spadá pod koncern FCA, jehož součástí je i americký Dodge. To znamená, že nová Maserati by klidně mohla mít motory z vozů, jakými jsou Dodge Challenger nebo Charger.
