Demokratická odpověď na potřebu elektrické mobility

Podle šéfa koncernu Fiat-Chrysler Michaela Manleyho je pořízení elektromobilu pro běžné zákazníky stále příliš nákladné. Jak to Fiat chce v budoucnu změnit, ukazuje konceptem Centoventi, předváděným na ženevském autosalonu.

Pro snížení nákladů Fiat sází na maximálně zjednodušený design a omezenou základní nabídku variant. Místo toho, aby vyráběl desítky variant, bude tento elektromobil dlouhý 370 cm k dispozici v jediné barvě s jediným tvarem karoserie. Zákazníci budou schopni přizpůsobit si podobu vozu pomocí programu 4U s možností volby ze čtyř střech, čtyř nárazníků, čtyř krytů kol a systému vyměnitelných polepů.

Aby si zákazníci mohli přizpůsobit vůz svým představám a potřebám, budou mít možnost vybrat si ze 120 prvků příslušenství a přídavných zařízení, s nimiž je možné upravit nejen vzhled, ale také uspořádání interiéru. Týká se to rovněž pohonu - z výrobního závodu by měl vyjíždět standardní vůz vybavený akumulátorem, umožňujícím mu dojezd na vzdálenost 100 km. Pro prodloužení na 500 km je možné pořídit si až čtyři dodatečné akumulátory, a to koupí nebo pronájmem, přičemž jeden z nich je možné vyjmout a nabíjet ho doma nebo v garáži.

Fiat Centoventi

Interiér je navržen jako přestavitelný. Přístrojová deska s malými otvory umožňuje, aby na ní byly snadno přidány různé komponenty v závislosti na potřebách uživatele, a to pomocí patentovaného systému zámků připomínajících stavebnici Lego. Podobně byly navrženy i dveřní panely, což znamená, že řidiči mohou přidat několik držáků nápojů nebo odkládacích kapes.
