Vypadá ještě lépe než kupé

Autosalon v Detroitu, kde se má novinka představit, se koná až příští týden. To ale automobilce nezabránilo, aby vůz předčasně odhalila na oficiálních fotografiích. Podle designérů jde o LC v jeho nejúžasnější formě. Sériová podoba se od tohoto konceptu moc lišit nebude, ostatně verze kupé vypadá také téměř stejně jako koncept.

„Tento koncept bere nepopíratelný design modelu LC a přetváří jej v podobu kabrioletu. Spojuje všechny aspekty verze kupé a přidává k nim dynamickou siluetu karoserie bez střechy“, okomentoval novinku šéfdesignér Tadao Mori. Design vozu zůstal jinak beze změn, což je jedině dobře. Na první pohled je ale vidět pár drobných detailů, které kabriolet jen lehce dolaďují, jako třeba některé černé doplňkové prvky a unikátní dvaadvacetipalcová kola. 

Pod kapotou by mělo zůstat vše při starém. Pětilitrový atmosférický osmiválec produkuje výkon 477 koní a 542 Nm točivého momentu. Přeměna kupé na verzi bez střechy se většinou neobejde bez nějakého toho kila navíc, proto se váha vozu dost možná dostane nad dvě tuny. To by mohlo uškodit dynamice, která ovšem verzi se střechou rozhodně nescházela.

Lexus se vyhnul měkké plátěné střeše a použil elegantnější hard top. Střecha se skládá za zadní sedadla, což samozřejmě uškodí objemu zavazadlového prostoru. Že by to ale majitelům tohoto vozu nějak vadilo, se asi říct nedá.

Lexus LC Cabriolet si veřejnost bude moct poprvé prohlédnout na detroitském autosalonu, který se otevírá již v pondělí 14. ledna.
